Is Numo free?
Yes. The full converter — every currency and 20 cryptocurrencies, the calculator, the price scanner and offline rates — is free with no ads, along with one price alert, 30 days of rate history and one custom rate and currency. Numo Pro is an optional upgrade for currency setups, bank fees, up to 20 alerts, a year of rate history, advanced widgets, sharing from other apps and app icons — monthly, yearly or as a one-time purchase.
Can Numo tell me when a rate changes?
Yes. Create a price alert for a currency or a coin and Numo sends a notification when the rate rises above or falls below the level you choose. Alerts are checked against daily reference rates, so a notification can arrive hours after the rate moves. Numo Free includes one active alert, Numo Pro up to 20.
Can I convert a price by pointing the camera at it?
Yes. Tap the camera key on the keypad and point it at a price tag, a menu or a receipt; Numo converts the price it reads. You can also scan a photo. Text is recognized on your iPhone and images are never uploaded.
Does Numo convert cryptocurrencies?
Yes. Add any of 20 popular coins, including BTC, ETH and USDT, to your list next to your currencies. Prices are provided by CoinMarketCap.
Can I see how a rate has changed?
Yes. Tap a currency to see its chart over the last 7 or 30 days, or over 3 months and a year with Numo Pro. The Rates list shows every currency against yours, each with its weekly trend.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The latest rates are saved on your iPhone and used offline. The app shows how fresh they are and refreshes them when you’re back online.
Can I keep different currencies for different trips?
Yes. In Settings › Currency setups, add a list such as Travel or Work with its own currencies and icon, then swipe the title on the main screen to switch between it and your default list. Currency setups are part of Numo Pro.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
Reference rates come from Frankfurter, which publishes central-bank data, with ExchangeRate-API as a backup. Pick one in Settings or leave it on Auto. Cryptocurrency prices are provided by CoinMarketCap.
Why is my card’s rate different?
Banks, cards, ATMs and exchange offices rarely use the reference rate. With Numo Pro, add your bank’s fee — a percentage, a fixed amount or both — and every conversion shows an estimate with a cost breakdown, with the reference rate in view. Save fees like Card +2% or ATM +3% and switch in one tap. Your bank’s final charge may differ.
Which widgets are there?
The Small rates widget is free and also shows in StandBy. Numo Pro adds larger and Lock Screen widgets, Smart amounts and Rate trend, a widget base currency of your choice and a Favorite Currency control in Control Center.
What data does Numo collect?
No account and no ads. The amounts you convert, your currency lists, custom rates and currencies stay on your iPhone, and the price scanner reads text on the device without uploading images. If you use price alerts, the currency pair, alert amount, threshold and notification token go to Numo’s alert service. Anonymous diagnostics help fix crashes — see the Privacy Policy for details.
